Tankless hot water heaters are an efficient way to keep the water hot for as long as you want. No one likes the water turning to a chill spray during a shower! This is a great choice to consider if you are looking at new water heaters.
High Quality Tankless Water Heaters
Is it time for a new water heater in your home? Maybe the old one is too inefficient and you do not want to foot that bill anymore. It could be that it is not even heating your water up anymore. Whatever the reason, if you need a new system installed, it is worth considering a tankless hot water heater. We can install these in newly built homes as well.
There are a number of different types of tankless hot water heaters, but they all have one thing in common. Unlike a traditional water heater, these systems do not have to keep the water warm over time. Depending on how your plumbing is designed, your heater might be working to keep 80 gallons of water hot around the clock. When we install a tankless hot water heater for you, it only heats the water you are using when you are using it.
Tankless hot water heaters provide you with a continuous supply of hot water. It spends most of its time off, unless you turn on the tap. That is when the heating element activates. The water will flow through a copper heat exchanger that can get its energy from either gas or electric. What all this means is that the heater does not need to continuously keep a large amount of water hot and ready. And that means energy savings! Because of this added efficiency, you can install multiple units throughout your home, which means less water wasted as you wait for the hot water to make its way from the heater to the tap. The water is heated instantly, so you do not need to wait.
Some of our clients see the higher initial price of a tankless hot water heater and are hesitant. As experienced plumbers, we will generally tell you that the energy and water savings will catch up quickly. The additional convenience that comes from having an unlimited water heater is also persuasive. A tankless system also brings with it the obvious advantage of not having a tank, which means it takes up a lot less space. This may very well be the perfect choice for you.
